The Sismo Fitness Elite oscillating platform is to be available in the UK from Derby-based On Site Fitness.

Designed to help burn fat on the hips, thighs, waist and abdomen but also capable of supporting overall fitness by being used for aerobic exercise, the Elite incorporates Oscillomology®, the science of oscillation.

One of the key benefits of the platform using oscillations - circular movements of between 0-15mm amplitude - rather than vibrations - vertical waves - is that vibrations to the head are avoided.

An oscillating platform also allows use at both very low frequencies - for older people or for accurate rehabilitation treatment - and at high frequencies to assist with aerobic exercise.

The system features 18 automatic programmes and 3 manual programmes and Sismo Fitness claims that a session of 10 to 20 minutes is sufficient for a full body workout.

The company exhibited in Paris in March this year at Mondial Spa Beaute, Mondial Body Fitness and Nouvelles Esthetiques and also at Cosmoprof in Bologna in April.
