Caudalie partners with Harvard to refresh Premier Cru line with new anti-ageing technology

The vegan Premier Cru line features a serum, cream, rich cream and eye cream
Vinotherapy skincare and spa brand Caudalie has reformulated its signature Premier Cru anti-ageing line after drawing on epigenetic science via a collaboration with Harvard University.

The organisations have worked together to co-patent anti-ageing technology designed to ‘stimulate youth proteins in the skin and correct the eight signs of ageing’; wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots, firmness, elasticity, radiance, volume and hydration. The co-patent is named TET8 and is the product of 10 years of research.

“I created Premier Cru to offer skincare that corrects all the signs of ageing, without compromise,” said Mathilde Thomas, Caudalie co-founder. “It's the most effective and sensorial collection...the ultimate anti-ageing solution.”

The vegan Premier Cru line features a serum, cream, rich cream and eye cream and has been developed with an eco-conscious approach.

All packaging is recyclable and, for the first time, Caudalie has designed refillable and recyclable capsules for The Cream and The Rich Cream.

The line is blended with grape seed polyphenols, viniferine and resveratrol extracted from vine shoots harvested in France. Other ingredients include hyaluronic acid and honokiol derived from magnolia, which make up TET8.

The new launch has been complemented with a dedicated 80-minute Premier Cru facial (€141, £118, US$160) available at Caudalie’s global spas.

New Caudalie bodycare
In addition to the Premier Cru launch, Caudalie has unveiled an at-home spa collection inspired by its flagship Vinothérapie Spa and signature treatments in Bordeaux.

The new Vinotherapist line has been devised with a vegan formula and 98 per cent natural origin ingredients. It’s the first collection of natural and professional body products produced by Caudalie.

The range includes body lotion, body butter, foot cream and hand and nail cream.

Designed to soothe and nourish dehydrated skin, the products are enriched with plant lipids to replenish the skin and leave it feeling smooth, comfortable and supple.

The formula is blended with a natural sweet almond fragrance and includes a mix of desert date oil, organic shea butter and grape seed oil.

London UK
Caudalie is a 100 per cent independent family brand founded by Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas. Fifteen years ago, the couple discovered the amazing antioxidant powers of grape and grapevine Polyphenols, during the grape harvest in their family vineyard of Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Since then, Caudalie – which refers to a quality measurement of the duration of a wine’s finish on the palette – is the leader of anti-ageing skin care in France. All Caudalie products follow the brand’s “Cosm-ethics”: formulas free of parabens, phenoxyethanol, mineral oils, sodium laureth sulfate, synthetic coloring and animal ingredients. These unparalleled treatments are also available at Caudalie’s luxurious Vinothérapie Spas located in exceptional regions around the world.
