SIS Pitches score a hat-trick in World Cup 2018 supplier deal

The Rostov Arena will install a hybrid SISGrass pitch for the 2018 World Cup

SIS Pitches have signed three deals to supply pitches for the 2018 World Cup in Russia.

This latest deal will see SIS Pitches installing a pitch at the Rostov Arena in time for next year’s World Cup.

SIS Pitches will also oversee the design of the pitch and provide full maintenance for the duration the event.

The Rostov Arena, which is currently under construction and scheduled to host five of the 64 matches, will have a new SISGrass hybrid pitch installed.

SIS Pitches have also secured deals to provide a SISGrass pitch for the World Cup Final at The Luzhniki Stadium and a new natural pitch at Otkrytiye Arena. It has also completed work at the Krasnodar Stadium, a reserve stadium for the World Cup.

The 2018 World Cup will be the first time the event has featured SISGrass pitches and SISAir technology.

SISGrass is a reinforced turf system designed to increase pitch stability and playing hours.

SISAir is a system created to proactively manage soil moisture and remove excess water via a network of pipes placed beneath the pitch.
